Open Telecom Ltd. was first incorporated in the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago on 9 December 1992, with its principal activity being the ‘provision of services for the wireless communications market’.
WIRELESS EXPERTISE Open Telecom first began providing paging and trunked radio services to a large market here in Trinidad and Tobago and our acquisition of Comtech in Jamaica made us a regional player in the wireless telecom's market . During the last thirteen years Open Telecom has acquired extensive expertise in both satellite and terrestrial base communications and has rolled out and maintained key installations throughout the region.
BROADBAND COMMUNICATIONS ICT services and solutions have converged to allow for voice, video and data solutions that are incredibly cost effective, rendering faster access and greater efficiencies in the business environment. Open Telecom made optimum use of the advances in technology and was first to market a wholly wireless broadband service in Trinidad and Tobago.
THE BROADBAND PHONE COMPANY Again another first for Open Telecom is the launch of its Worldtalk long distance services. Worldtalk's three business plans provide business class qulaity calls to the United States and Canada at 40% lower than any of its competitors. Soon to launch will be a whole host of value added services such as - Fax Services, Voicemail, Caller ID with name, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding and 3 – Way calling.
